Ridgeback/Mastiff x, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Around 12-14 months old.
She is on the larger medium in size. Very people friendly.
Please don't be put off by the write up - she is a work in progress and this is our opinion of her at this time but it does change the more she grows in confidence. With the right handler and home she is going to be an asset.
Literally everything appears to be new to her so wherever she came from she had a pretty sheltered life almost as if she was born in a barn and that is all she knew prior to coming to us
Kelly is very unsure about entering a home. She had obviously never been in a vehicle so needs lifting in to vehicles as won't jump or climb in. She has to be lead walked past the other dogs - won't run past them but is getting better. Slowly getting used to walking on a lead and wearing a harness.
When Kelly barks she does sound the part and will make an excellent deterrent but that's as far as it goes as next step is to lick you to death.
Experienced handler would be required and one definitely willing to put the time and effort in with continued trained - ideally a property with land/space would suit perfectly.
Any children would need to be 6+ and very dog savvy - teenagers preferred.
Cats unknown and untested but extremely doubtful.
Kelly may accept a submissive neutered male for guidance and company but this would need to be after careful introductions - she definitely will not accept being with or around another female dog (we have tried).
Contact Wallace Kennels - she is in Essex.
